How Virginia Is Doing
Virginia is one of the eight states (as of a Business Week article dated March 2008) to adopt a new font for highway signs that will make them easier to see for those with vision difficulties. This new font is called “Clearview,” and the typeface increased the distance at which signs are legible for older drivers by 16 percent.
